I live in a small room at the end of Deal Pier

Which gives me the freedom and expression that I enjoy

 

Yet for two days in late April I was unable to see the town

Due to unusual weather conditions over the cold North Sea

 

I was not however alone as I often saw match stick men

Appear and then slowly fade into the dense white fog

 

But far from pleasing me this added to my sense of isolation

 

 

 

 

 

On the 21st and 22nd of April 2021 the coastal town of Deal was shrouded by a sea fog which did not lift during the daylight hours
