I read in a newspaper that hand-crocheted dolls
Of Vincent Van Gogh are now available
In the Tate Britain and elsewhere
They are thirty-five pounds each
He is shown wearing his French work jacket
And a rough grey hat
I wonder what Vincent would have made
Of this exclusive range of dolls
Perhaps he might have painted them
All lined up in a row
In the wheat field of the crows
It has been reported that Vincent dolls are for sale at the Tate Britain in connection with the Van Gogh and Britain exhibition that will run to August 2019
I have written this poem to raise the funds so that I might purchase one
