In this beautiful country of ours we are lucky to possess many beaches that consist mainly of pebbles
Generations have walked along these beaches looking for interesting stones
But be aware of the following when you are next on the beach
That is that certain pebbles possess almost human emotions and should be treated with care
Last year I found what I subsequently called
The Screaming Stone
It had obviously witnessed Hell or something even more hideous
I granted it refuge in my glass panelled bookcase where it would be able to suffer its nightmares in a place of security
That was all I could do for it as its mental state was beyond repair
Today I found another emotive pebble which I have called for want of a better name
The Sad Stone
Whilst not traumatised like the screaming stone it has obviously had its share of unhappiness and for the present has joined me on my writing desk
If on your travels you do come across an emotive stone please take time out to consider its mental state as removal although made with good intentions might cause further damage
As a rule of thumb I always talk to the pebble or stone in question to assess its needs and then make a considered decision
