I woke up at an insane hour as I was unable to sleep

To pass the time I looked at photographs

Of German railway stations in a glossy book

All went well until I studied Munich Aubing station

Its monochrome photograph was shot at night

Which added to the atmosphere as a fog was present

But what unnerved me was that a small figure could be seen

Jumping occasionally from the platform on to the track

At first I thought it was my imagination

A combination of tiredness and fatigue

But my witness was real I am sure of that

I have now closed this book as I am nervous

Of what I might have seen in the middle of this grey detached night
