On the 28th of July Judy and I were in a rented cottage not far from Slapton Sands

Generally the weather had been kind to us with plenty of beach sunshine

However when we awoke on the morning of the 28th the sky was grey and heavy

So we decided to walk along the beach path towards Start Point

Judy had chosen to wear a thin sweater and a pair of jeans

I had been more adventurous and was wearing my blue shorts and a white tee shirt

We had not been walking for very long before Judy complained of being hot

I told her that we would rest on the beach for a while as the day although cooler was mild

After a short while Judy removed her jeans and paddled wearing only my sweater and her white knickers

As I had swum a lot on the previous days I decided to rest on the beach as Judy searched for sea glass

It was as I was watching her that I received my daily weather report

Telling me that the air temperature was a cool seventeen degrees and that the day would be mostly cloudy

I had been less adventurous and was wearing my black jeans and and a thick grey sweater

We had not been walking for very long before Judy complained of being rather warm

I told her that we would rest on the beach for a while as the day was sunny and mild

After a short while Judy removed her jeans and paddled wearing only my sweater and her white knickers

As I had walked a great deal on the previous days I decided to rest on the beach as Judy searched for sea glass

It was as I was watching her that I received my daily weather report

Telling me that the air temperature was a warm seventeen degrees and long sunny spells were forecast

 

 

 

 

 

Temperatures of 17/18 degrees have been forecast for Southern England during the final days of 2021
