I am looking out of the window of a runaway train

The train has been switched on to a derelict line

To avoid the Rapid Express Blue

In just over fifteen minutes I will plunge

Off of a viaduct much damaged by the recent floods

Which is a pity as almost a year ago

I challenged myself to walk 1000 miles in a calendar year

As of today I have completed 995 miles

Which leaves me just 5 miles short of my target

So close but so far

I can almost see the finishing tape

God spoke to me as we passed through the last tunnel

His instructions were so very clear

I was told to sit snugly in my seat and close my eyes

Which I am about to do without protest

As I know that I am deeply loved
