Yellow Paper Kite

I was in Southampton before it vanished into the universe

Kites was playing on my radio

It had begun to snow

Gentle white snowflakes coming out of a crisp purple sky

I was sailing into a January night

Full of pink paper lanterns

And the wild cream blossom of the blue bird trees

I was happy there in my fathers car

But that was so long ago

Long before the war of fade

I was an innocent then
