The brilliance of the light dazzled the sandy beach
Every shadow exposed the underworld of the town
People were swimming in the sea in October
And sunbathing on the sea steps
A cast iron man of about my height
Was perched on some outlying rocks
Near the gallery of art
He was awaiting the invasion of the tide
I was sitting on a bench
Today I was orange green and yellow
People photographed me without permission
But I did not care as I was enjoying their illumination
