I watched poetry as she strolled through the cornfields
She was soaking wet having jumped into a pond
To retrieve a bracelet that I had given her
As the day was hot and the winds gentle
She hoped that she would be dry in time for tea
I had my doubts as her shift was quite saturated
And the church clock was now telling me
That was already twenty minutes past three
