If we have anything in common
It is that we eat oranges from the fruit
Almost like starving savages
We often take these friends to the beach
And later feed their rough damp skins
To the gulls who congregate on the sandy paths
After this we silently swim and listen
As evening draws close
To the mysterious sounds of the sea
