When walking recently I found a Batman figure

Secreted on a bench facing the sea

It was made by Lego as part of a Gotham City set

I was quite surprised by my unusual find

As one does not normally find Lego figures

On sea worn benches with views to France

 

Yesterday I purchased a book about yellow wallpaper

Which had a naked woman on its mysterious cover

This is not unusual as female nudes often feature

On books featuring wallpapers yellow and green

 

On the day that I returned from another war

I found Batman sprawled across my book

Sniffing Marie Antoinette’s naked white arse

My fellow officers found this all rather confusing

As Marie Antoinette during her lifetime

Had never visited Gotham City

But I found Batman’s actions quite ordinary

As super-heroes often sniff the warm arses

Of the Queens of France and other illustrations
