The Italian Detective was standing near the Martello Tower

A crime had been committed as graffiti had appeared on the whitewash

A hunt was on for the people who had committed this terrible crime

But little success had been achieved by the local police forces

So Inspector Giuseppe Joseph was asked to investigate the vandalism

This was a masterstroke as he soon deduced that the artists

Had never attended art school as they were all self taught

He laid a cunning trap between the eighth and ninth holes

And the miscreants were soon caught with spray cans in their hands

But they were not arrested and placed in the police vans

As Inspector Joseph thought it quicker and more expedient

To throw them from the crumbling cliffs into the sea below
