Fields of Grey

Colourless birds fly over

The fragile geography

Of this poem

HISTORY

When I was quite young

I asked my aunt about

Her legendary breasts

To my great surprise

She removed her shirt

And asked me what I thought of them

I was too stunned to answer

So it remained our secret

Although I can recall

The moment quite clearly

My aunt is the most amoral women

That I have ever met

But I love her nonetheless

Everybody loves my terrible aunt

She now lives with a Chilean writer

In a house that faces Clapham Common

We meet occasionally

When I am in London on business
