Tropical Days

We are experiencing unusual weather patterns at present

A tropical heatwave

Caused by volatile weather patterns elsewhere

Jane and I awoke about half an hour ago

And were naked around our house

Until the sun within the sea fog

Compelled me to walk to the beach

I was planning to take a number of soft morning photographs

Although by day this beach is a well used naturist beach

It was now deserted in the golden glow of the humid clouds

To accurately describe its beauty

Would be to grant it a great disservice

As the mere words of this early poem

Would fail to capture what surrounded me

Jane and I were on this beach yesterday

As we like to enjoy our recreation without clothes

We were partially covered by two brightly coloured parasols

As although quite hazy the sun was very strong

I often comment that when the colours

Retire from the summer season

Then the cooler months are quite near

I was reading a book about the Olivier sisters

And one photograph taken just over one hundred years ago

On a deserted Cornish beach held my imagination

As all five of the Olivier sisters were naked on a rock

I looked at our fellow nudists and thought how little had changed

Which was a comforting thought in these times of great confusion

Jane and I both consider that there is a democracy and an honesty

On beaches such as this and others like them

They are like all naturist beaches

Disorganised but incredibly organised

Later today we are going on one of our long walks

It is likely that it will be coastal but we might stray inland

In these tropical times it is for us to choose our intended paths
