The Bitter Tears of Librarians

Do not grieve

Anything you lose

Comes back to you

In another form

I lost a friend last year

This distressed me greatly

I was angry with Sky Daddy

And isolated myself

Until the day that I saw a train

Pass through a railway station

My recently deceased friend

Was sitting quietly in carriage six

And smiled at me over his newspaper

I sat down on a nearby bench

And wept the bitter tears

That only librarians can weep
