I was born on a snowy January day 

And for some odd reason prefer winter 

This amuses Jane as she adores the summer 

Earlier today when I was tidying the garden 

I spotted the early signs of colder weather

The larger birds were flying amongst the high spindle trees 

And many of the smaller creatures were filling their stores  

A freeze is not far away and it is very likely to snow 

Jane likes the snow and often takes advantage of the fall 

We toboggan together on the slopes of Lucy Hill 

Or engage in naked snowball fights in the Saver Clearing 

We then return home to our rural cottage 

To thaw out in a place of sanity 

Hot soup cheese rolls and all
