On a pavement near my home
There is a large shadow dog
It reminds me of a Hiroshima Shadow
And because of that it disturbs me
This country is in an era of decay
Make no mistake about this
There is a raw cancer eating away
At all we hold to be decent
Disgusting behaviours are now seen as normal
We are being drowned by the toxic tides
That continue to overwhelm our purity
I am almost jealous of the shadow dog
As it does not have to suffer my pain
In time the rains will wash it away
It will be nothing but a memory
