Maude recently asked me whether bald or bush was better

I told her that I did not really have an opinion

It is possibly cleaner to shave

But then again pubic hair has a function

Otherwise it would not be there

Maude and I live in a large country house

With all the trimmings

We are not lovers just good friends

Ours in a happy life

She has told me that she intends to shave

And although this is a trifling thought

I will now be able to say

When she next uses the swimming pool
