Although I roughly know where you are I am sending this mail to Amy as she will know where her sister is

it is unlikely that you are aware of the election result as you lie in Cora’s arms

It was a landslide as I expected and the Lib Dems did well which indicates protest votes in the mix

The new party did very well as what this country really wants is a strong Centre-Right government

This leads to me to the fun and games in France

The NR if successful will cause a seismic change in the country that you and I love so much

It has already happened in Italy but I sense that the NR will be more radical as France is a country on the edge and we all know why that is happening

I am so so glad that you are recovering – I can see from your letters that the old Josie is coming back – Cora is so good for you as she is a wise girl unlike some of your other passions

She is good for you and you are good for her

As you can see I have been writing some splendid poetry of late – my pen is very busy

Mummy is missing you

Richmond is missing you

I am missing you

Do not hurry back as travelling is the way out of the abyss as you know
