I would like to think

This is done out of love

And not to gain favour

I will dress them in my own image

And betray them

In the Gethsemane Garden

When the time is right

They attend prestigious events

Whist ordinary folk

Shit in the gutters

And then they have the gall

To stand up

In front of the house

And justify what is plainly wrong

Their hyenas grin in the background

This makes me deeply nauseous

But I suppose

This is how democracy works
